Exercise

I know, I know, exercise, ug. This is the key to weigh loss.

What do I do?
You can get video's, netflicks is an economical way to get your workout on. I started out with Bob's biggest loser workout. You start out with 5 min. of warm up and 20 minutes of a workout and 5 min. cool down. You do this for 2 weeks then add the next 15 minutes to it, then after 2 weeks add the next 10 minutes for a total workout of 45 min. plus the warm up and cool down.

You don't have to do the biggest loser, I'm just a goober and have found this to be more helpful for me. There are the leslie Sansone video's, they're good if you want to start walking, but walking outside is a bigger challenge, or at least it feels like that, lol.

Go to Netflicks.com and type in fitness or workout, try a few out and see which ones you like. Jillian Micheals from the Biggest Loser is not the person I would have chosen but thanks to a friend of mine, she bought one of her video's and after doing the "trouble zones" I have since started liking her.

I wouldn't recommend trying P90X until you've been exercising for a while, but it is a good workout. Go back to the 80's, not with your hair but with the workout's, THEY Work!

Wanna do your own thing? Then look at some fitness books and make up your own routine. Just remeber the more you lose the more your going to have to workout, stinks I know. but it wil be worth it all when you start losing the weight.

Just an update on my progress, I started at a size 20 and now I am almost in a 12 comfortably! I have lost 36, that was my first goal and now I'm on to another goal of 10 pounds. Gotta keep it realistic so you'll make it to the end.

Feel like you've eaten pretty bad lately and have had no time to exercise? This weekend was horrible in my book with the memorial day cook outs (plural) but I made myself walk afterward and the next day I made myself run. Take a nice walk with the kids, they'll love it. It beats sitting on the couch letting it turn to fat. Get up and walk! That's what I'm getting ready to do. see ya!

Confessions

I have to confess that as time passes on I feel like this ride has taken forever and will never end.  My weight loss has slowed down and it has become harder to get time to work out.  Now comes the time when you HAVE to make a small goal that you can attain and give yourself a little something for making it.  I chose for my 30 pound victory to go get my nails done and my hair done.  This is something that I've wanted to do for some time now but haven't had the time, now I'm going to make time, if and when the goal is made.

Another amazing victory is when you've learned how to cook healthier you know almost immediately how many calories are in everything, lol.  My husband and I went out on a date and they had a salad bar, should be ok right?  NOT!!!  There is so much stuff that we think it's on the salad bar, we can eat it right?  I sat there in amazement at the things that I couldn't have and sought out the things I knew I should fill myself up with.  What's up with the light salad dressing being all the way in the back where the short people can't reach it?  My husband recently went to the store for me and got regular ranch dressing, I compared them and was shocked at how much difference there is.  Light=80Cals for 2tbs.  Reg=200cals for 2tbs.  WOW!

The tip for this week is to not get discouraged, make a goal, take a day off and then get back on it!  Don't beat yourself up.  You will meet this goal, you have accountability!  E-mail me or leave a message.  I'm here, I know how important it is to have help.

Food for today: Pudding bowl.
Take a small bowl and take one package of pudding (60 calorie pudding) and find a pack of the 100 calorie cookies that you like and smash them up and then top off the pudding.  Again take your ready wip and 5 calories 2 tbs.  And you have a 170 calorie snack that makes you feel like you ate something and maybe get rid of that ice cream withdraws. lol.  Works for me and my husband.

Celery sticks:
Cut up celery into 4 inch stalks and then open 1 can of tuna and some mayonnaise (look at the calories, Hellmann's Light 35 cals 1 tbsp) mix the tuna and mayonnaise together and then put it on the celery.  YUMM!!!

Until next time... Keep it up!
